DISPUTED
Evelyn Trent saw a metallic disc moving slowly over the farm; her husband Paul took two photographs with a box camera. The images ran in LIFE magazine and became among the most analysed UFO photos ever taken.
Explanation
The Condon Committee called it one of the few cases where the evidence was consistent with the witnesses’ account; skeptics (Sheaffer, Maccabee critics, later photogrammetry) argue it was a small model hung from overhead wires.
