Southern Illinois police sightings

Before dawn, a store owner in Highland and then police officers in Lebanon, Summerfield, Shiloh and Dupo independently reported a large, low triangular object with bright lights moving south-west toward Scott AFB and the Mississippi.

Explanation

The FAA suggested an advertising blimp; the officers’ descriptions of speed and size are hard to reconcile with that.
