Todmorden — PC Alan Godfrey

Before dawn, PC Alan Godfrey was driving his patrol car along Burnley Road looking for missing cattle when he found a large, diamond-shaped object hovering about 5 ft above the road, blocking it. He sketched it from the car. The next thing he knew, he was farther down the road and some time had passed. He said the road surface under the object was dry though the rest was wet. Other officers reported a light in the sky that night. Later hypnosis sessions produced an abduction account.
