Stephenville, Texas

Dozens of people around Stephenville, including a private pilot and a local constable, reported a very large, silent object with bright lights followed by fighter jets. FOIA radar records later analysed by MUFON showed unidentified returns in the area.

Explanation

The Air Force said F-16s from the 457th Fighter Squadron were training in the area. A MUFON analysis of FAA radar data claimed an untransponded target heading toward the Crawford ranch; this is not officially confirmed.
